The job was to design an elegant, fully operable sliding roof for a museum in Hong Kong. The result: a custom-built system made of 5 tonnes of stainless steel and glass, powered by a single drive and equipped with a manual crank. This allows the roof to be opened or closed at any time - even during a power outage. Because the building is located directly by the sea, special attention was given to maximum corrosion resistance.
Whether in private homes or public buildings, made of glass or other premium materials: these sliding roofs combine state-of-the-art technology with pure architectural fascination.
