Owner Ewald Stolzlechner has been pursuing his passion for gates since 1986. With a combination of craftsmanship and innovative spirit, he founded his first company in 1994 and continuously developed it - from classic garage doors to complex special systems for the international market. Today, esto stands for tailor-made solutions in the field of movable façade elements at the highest level.
From garage door to high-end façade solution
It began with a conviction
Ewald began his career in the gate industry in 1986 with an apprenticeship as a fitter at a gate company. He soon discovered his passion for gates and was convinced: “I can do that too!” In 1994, he founded his first company in gate construction, initially producing conventional garage doors and entrance doors - products that almost everyone is familiar with from everyday life.

The step beyond borders - up to esto
Over the years, the company steadily evolved, specialising in ever larger and more demanding gates. In 2004, the move beyond the borders of South Tyrol was made, conquering the market in the DACH region. With growing internationalization, the company focused from 2013 onward on special systems - and from this, the company esto was born.
Its path has since been defined by continuous progress toward individualisation. Always accompanied by a great courage, both to break new ground and to take on challenging projects and continue to grow through them. “Our commitment to pushing boundaries and fostering a culture of continuous improvement are the driving forces behind our success!” says Rebecca Stolzlechner, CEO of esto.
